白水遶東城。

Athwart the northern gate the green hills swell.
   White water round the eastern city flows.
When once we here have bade a long farewell,
   Your lone sail struggling up the current goes.

Those floating clouds are like the wanderer's heart.
   Yon sinking sun recalls departed days.
Your hand waves us adieu; and lo! you start,
   And dismally your horse retiring neighs.
